The Ballet Conservatory of South Texas will begin their 2016-2017 season on Friday, November 4, and Saturday, November 5 with two exciting new productions.  The family-oriented program will feature a company premiere of Fancy Nancy: Bonjour, Butterfly, based on the bestselling storybook by Jane O’Connor, and a ballet classic, Carnival of the Animals.  These magical story ballets are brought to life with enthusiastic dancing by the BCSTX company members, and will delight children of all ages.

Friday, November 4 at 10am is a special performance for San Antonio school children, Kindergarten  to 2nd grade.  The Ballet Conservatory has reached out to the Title 1 elementary schools in the San Antonio area to provide free tickets to the students and teachers for this special event.  At this time, over 2,200 students from Title 1 schools will be in attendance!

We are also partnering with SAReads, and will host a book drive during the November 5th performance.  For all ticketed guests, if they bring a new children’s book to donate to the SAReads Book Bank, they will receive a “fancy” surprise.
