The Ballet Conservatory of South Texas is a pre-professional ballet Academy and Company accepting students as young as 3 years of age and offering classes to all dancers up to the age of 21 willing to apply themselves diligently to the disciplines required to become proficient in contemporary American ballet. The BCSTX performing Company is comprised of pre-professional dancers between the ages of 11 and 21 selected through an open audition process. The age group of male participants is determined on an individual basis. The Company’s purpose is to give more accomplished young dancers the opportunity to train and educate themselves in an environment very close to that of a professional company.
In March 2008, the Company performed in the city-wide event, Luminaria, which showcased art of all media to San Antonio. The Company also performed at the February Works-In-Progress held by Jump-Start Performance Company. |
